My Curriculum

Professor of Labour and Social Security Law at the Universitat de Girona. Expert in employment, vocational training, the principle of non-discrimination, immigration law and migration in Spain and internationally, EU social law, and the legal framework for personal care and support for people with long-term care needs.
Ferran Camas Roda holds a PhD in Labour and Social Security Law from the Universitat de Girona (UdG),awarded in 2000. His current and recent positions and activities include:
1. Professor of Labour and Social Security Law at the UdG since 2009, and Head of the Department of Labour and Social Security Law at the UdG since 2008.
2. Director of the Chair in Immigration, Rights and Citizenship at the Universitat de Girona since 2008.
3. Member of the European network of legal experts in gender equality and non-discrimination since 2020.
4. Main researcher on european, national and regional research projects. He currently leads the UdG’s contribution to the research project Teleworking: Non-Discrimination, Well-Being at Work and Teleworking by Foreign Workers—Three Key Elements in Consolidating Remote Work, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (2025–2027).
He also led the UdG’s contribution to Care4Care: Let’s Care for Those Who Care, a Horizon Europe project examining working conditions and non-discrimination among care workers (2023–2025).
5. He is an collaborating professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in the Labor Relations Degree program, where he teaches the course "Trade Union Law", since 2011.
6. Teacher and adviser to Fundación La Caixa through its "Incorpora programme", specialising in access to employment for disadvantaged groups and non-labor training internships in companies.
7. Visiting Professor at the University of Perpignan Via Domitia since 2017. He teaches two subjects on its Master’s programme in Business Law: Judicial and Labour Institutions in Spain, Catalonia and Andorra; and European Social Law and Cross-Border Labour Law.
8. Member of the Advisory Board of Revista de Trabajo y Seguridad Social (Centro de Estudios Financieros); the Editorial Board of Modulema: Revista Científica sobre Diversidad Cultural; and the Review Board of Revista de Derecho de la Seguridad Social–Laborum. He is also an honorary member of the editorial boards of Juruá Editora and Consinter (Consejo Internacional de Estudios Contemporáneos en Postgrados).
